A slight departure from the usual wedding stuff this morning The very first thing I saw out of the window this morning was the cherry tree in my garden looking utterly breathtaking against the new light in the sky. Feeling inspired I hurriedly pulled some clothes on and grabbed my camera. Light like this doesnt wait while you have your first cup of tea So here are the results Im afraid I remain a more enthusiastic than talented photographer but hopefully the pics will give a you little bit of spring joy too.Of course now the lights changed completely and I could quite happily go out and snap a whole load more. This time candyfloss pink against that slightly hazy sky that means glorious sunshine later...

I know its arctic conditions outside and it seems like summer will never get here. But if youre planning a wedding this summer now is the time to get your invites organised.Your invitations will set the tone for the whole wedding so its worth investing a little time in getting them right.Ideally aim to order your wedding invitations around 4 6 months before the wedding. This will allow you plenty of time to send your invites and collate responses and chase up any stragglers before your venue caterer needs final numbers confirming.

In celebration of the glorious Indian summer were having I thought Id share the Autumn Jewels colour story Ive been working on. I cant think of a better backdrop for a wedding than the leaves just starting to turn lit by the last drops of summer sunshine. Autumn Jewels is a rich tapestry of burnt orange cornflower blue and burgundy. Think season of mists and mellow fruitfulness autumn jewels
